Marine Engineer by education with over 50 years of experience in ship operations, ship management, ship building and repair, ship inspection, and marine engineer training. Graduated from Marine Engineering College, DMET, in 1966 and was awarded the President’s Gold Medal; 2 time Ex-President of Institute of Marine Engineers of India. Singularly responsible for establishing the Chidambaram Group as the most sought after technical service provider to the marine, naval and offshore industry with a well established international reach and reputation.

Mr. Chidambaram (or KC as he is known to all) is the chief mentor for the entire group and continues to provide valuable guidance and direction to the entire team in a way that the values and principles of the Chidambaram Group remain intact even while pursuing growth.

Vice-Chairman of the Board, Chidambaram Group

Marine Engineer (BEng (Hons)) and Naval Architect from Southampton Solent University by education. A Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) Scholarship Winner in the year 1999; Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers – MICS; Member of The Institute of Marine Engineers – MIMare.

Rohit has over 22+ years of experience in core operations and business developments within the various businesses of the Chidambaram Group. He joined the group’s business right after graduation in 2000 and has been deeply involved in every single business unit of the Chidambaram Group. He has been responsible for growing the group’s partnerships with its various international partners and taking the Chidambaram-SMAG partnership to the next level by giving wings to the green-field project which resulted in Peiner SMAG Machinery India coming into existence. Rohit is responsible for the overall group’s growth, development and strategy.

Shubhangini Subramaniam
Board Director, Chidambaram Group

Masters in Business Administration (Specializing in Finance) by education. Has over 18 years of experience across Project Advisory, Structured Finance, Private Equity, Investment and Asset Management.

Has extensive investment experience ranging from closing complex transactions to actively managing the said investments including taking on board positions and onwards to exit. Shubha has been involved actively in the Chidambaram Group since early 2020 and is responsible for evaluating and implementing key strategic initiatives for the overall group.
